Summer 2008 Playlist... So Far!

It's summertime yet again and I've already got a bunch of tracks on my summer tunes playlist. :)

Here's what I've got so far!

• Madonna - Give It 2 Me (Original Video Edit)
  Love that synth bassline! This shortened version of the album track is a perfect bite-sized bit of electro-Madonna that is guaranteed to heat up your summer.
• Kylie Minogue - The One (Freemasons Edit)
  One of the best remixes to come out of the X era, this edit takes the already flawless 'The One' and upgrades it for the dance floor!
• Dana International - Bamakom Hachi Namooch Be'e Tel Aviv
  A melancholy but ultimately uplifting disco tune!
• Crystal Waters vs. Speakerbox - Dancefloor (Speakerbox Radio Edit)
  One of my favorite divas, Crystal Waters, lends her distinctive delivery to this ode to letting it all hang out on, well, the dance floor! This is already one of my 'summer anthems'!
• The Verve - Love Is Noise (Radio Edit)
  Sounds a bit like it could've been on one of Richard Ashcroft's solo records - and to me that's super!
• September - Cry For You (Candlelight Mix)
  The radio edit of 'Cry For You' was on my summer playlist last year, and this summer it returns in a piano- and string-soaked ballad. A beautiful way to cool down on a hot summer day!
  
• Monica Naranjo - Europa (Radio Edit)
  This edit scraps the awesome operatic opening but the song works just as well without it. Can't get enough of this one!
• The Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up (Main Mix)
  I never used to like The Pussycat Dolls, but I'm hooked on this song! A great club banger that I can just bet will be played on the boardwalk at the beach.
• Kate Ryan - Ella Elle L'a
  Fab synths and fantastic vocals make this an irresistible dance track!
• The Ting Tings - Shut Up And Let Me Go (Haji & Emanuel Radio Edit)
  This mix brings the punchy 'Shut Up And Let Me Go' to the club!
• Donna Summer - Stamp Your Feet (Jason Nevins Radio Edit)
  A fun ode to confidence and attitude!
• Solange - I Decided (Part 2)
  The Freemasons mix this Motown-minded track up into something fierce!
• Annie - I Know UR Girlfriend Hates Me (Soul Seekerz Radio Edit)
  Ultra-catchy and just plain great!
• Alex Gaudino feat. Crystal Waters - Destination Calabria (Original Radio Edit)
  This was also on my summer playlist of 2007, but I think this will become an annual summer anthem for me. LOVE this song!
• Alanis Morissette - Citizen Of The Planet
  Awesome song with grinding guitars and a neat chorus!
• Kula Shaker -Tattva (Lucky 13 Mix)
  Another song that was on my 2007 summer playlist, but this time it's this trippy, largely instrumental remix!
• Nat King Cole - Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days Of Summer
  It just wouldn't be summer without this perennial favorite! Not just a Summer 2008 song, but a summer song, period!
